Perimeter seeks the world’s brightest minds – including those displaced or put at risk by war, political turmoil, or other threats to their safety and academic freedom.

The Institute offers positions to researchers and students of any nationality who are at risk in their home countries or their intended place of work/study.

All application are now closed. Please check back September 2023 when programs begin accepting applications.

The program is for theoretical physicists or students/researchers in closely related fields. Research at Perimeter Institute covers nine sub-fields of theoretical physics: cosmology, mathematical physics, particle physics, quantum fields and strings, quantum foundations, quantum gravity, quantum information, quantum matter, and strong gravity.

Yes, Perimeter has a wide range of free online resources – lectures, explanatory videos, podcasts, classroom activities – for students, instructors, and science enthusiasts, ranging from elementary-school to master’s-level physics.
