Undergraduate students
Perimeter Institute offers exceptional opportunities for undergraduate students to interact with leading researchers from around the world. Programs at Perimeter Institute allow undergraduate students to experience the day-to-day working life of a researcher while gaining valuable research experience for their upcoming graduate programs.
PSI Start Program
Perimeter Institute invites students to join its world-leading research community for a part-time 10-week online summer school in theoretical physics beginning in May 2023. In addition, some of these students will also come to Perimeter to participate in groundbreaking research through a paid internship program. All students will learn research tools and collaboration skills while immersed (online or in person) in the multi-disciplinary environment of the world’s largest independent theoretical physics research centre.
Perimeter Institute’s PSI Start program consists of two parts, and is for students who intend to apply to a physics graduate program.
Undergraduate mentoring events
Perimeter Institute is hosting several Undergraduate Mentoring Events in the building for upper-year physics undergraduate students. These events are planned for selected afternoons from 3:30 to 5:00 pm for local students. The undergraduate students have an opportunity to talk to scientists, experience scientific talks and get more information about Perimeter Institute.
